One short year ago......

I just want to give a special tribute to my older brother, Merle. He passed away just a year ago today. His wonderful spirit and his faithfulness will always be a an encouragement to me. I will always miss his presence, his kindness and his love, but may some of his wonderful marks rub off on me and make me a better person. Miss you Merle.

Happy Fall Ya'All

We have arrived back in Albany and are enjoying it so much. We came back to a very warm welcome and it just feels right to be here! We are settled back at the Blue Ox RV Park, but in a different location and it is great. We are backed up to the Timber Linn Park and therefore we have so much more light, That should make a huge difference come winter! Keep away the winter blues and blahs!

Minnesota Time

The feel of fall is in the air! Where has the summer gone? Well it has been a busy one and we have enjoyed every moment of it! We spent the night in Dickinson, ND last night and felt like we were in Albany, Oregon. The rain came down most of the night, so we decided that we are retired and there is no rush to get going, so I played catch - up! All play and no work makes for a lot of undone work, so I cleaned and caught up on my ironing today and now I am even catching my blog up to date! Woo Hoo! A couple of days spent in Duluth, MN

This was the lift bridge that connected the main land to a small Island that we stayed on. We could certainly have stayed here for more days than what we had allowed! Enjoy more pictures by clicking on the bridge!

Walker, MN

As we traveled from Montana to MN, we stopped in Walker, MN and saw the beautiful Leech Lake. It was just the beginning of seeing several beautiful lakes! You would think that we were in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes! Click on the picture to see more.

Here we are at Painted Valley of the T Roosevelt National Park this morning and the humidity was so high that you can see the haze in the distance. We had a very cool day travelling today which was so nice. Tomorrow we head to Duluth, MN. Go up and relax a couple of days before we head down to Justin and Kathy's.

These pictures were taken at Theodore Roosevelt National Park out of Medora, North Dakota. We were expecting to see some wild animals, but only ones that we saw were prairie dogs! Was a nice little drive, but not what we expected to see!

Dave has spent many many hours redoing a bike for me. I got a new one in a 24 inch and found it was a hard one to ride, so we went to a pawn shop and bought an old rusty, yukky 24" three speed and now you can see the wonderful job that he did fixing it up for me! I am very excited about it. Now to just get out and ride it!!!

Wow, it has been a long, long time since I updated this blog, so where do I start?? We currently are in Billings and have spent some time in Great Falls. On Tuesday or Weds. we will be heading to Minnesota to see the grand-kids. Yeah!

While we were in Great Falls we shared time with my sister, Mavis and her family and also time with Dave's sister. We took Barb out to an old ranch where they had many a fond memory of time spent there with old family friends. The house is now empty, but one of the daughters

had restored the house to the original with furnishings and curtains etc for her father's memorial service. It brought many many memories back for both Barb and Dave.

Time spent with Mavis was a little quieter as she is recovering from surgery. She is doing extremely well, but still is not her strong self. We did manage to get her to the fair a couple of times while we were there, so that we could eat some of that good fattening food.

Thursday night we had a family dinner here at Lillian's in honor of our brother, Larry. He was flying out the next day to California to be closer to his children. One of his sons, Phillip was here with him and to take him to the plane to meet yet another son for flying back. He has been very ill and needs to be closer to his children. His wife will be going there to join him the end of next week. We hope that all goes well for them.

Fifteen years that I have been a grandma. The day that Tiana was born, I was about to head out to work when I got the call that she was born. The rest of the day, I walked on air! Happy, happy birthday!

On Monday, we went to spend a little time with my brother, Larry. We were lucky to get to see his daughter,Diana, whom I hadn't seen since 1990! She lives in California and had brought her daughter and niece with her. They are working on packing Larry and Sue to move them to California to be nearer her and two of her brothers. The one in the picture with me is Tricia, sort of named after me. That was special to finally meet her! We will miss having Larry in Wyoming, but he and his wife do need to be nearer their children.

We have arrived safely in Billings. Billings hasn't been so safe and so we are kind of glad that we didn't arrive any sooner. A funnel cloud touched down and did a tremendous amount of damage in the Heights of Billings. It did lots of raining here on the end of town where my family live, but no hail nor tornadoes. Here are some pictures of the water around. All for tonight so that I can get up early in the morning to take our trailer into the RV Service center.
